Our sculptor took this portrait from our historic collection and surrounded it with the radiating tracery of the Notre-Dame de Paris rose window, whose flame-shaped lancets draw a halo of Gothic light around the scene. Two Manufacture Mayaud skills thus meet on a single medal: the carving of the Madonna, and the transposition into mother-of-pearl of a cathedral rose window's tracery, a technique for which we are the only workshop in the world.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eJewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNatural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated 925\/1000 silver rim, bail included.
