The mother is entirely devoted to her son; the son, already, is turned towards the world and contented. Two halos of a fine line, a bracelet on Mary's wrist, the embroidered border of her dress: our sculptor has put detail at the service of a very sober composition, whose smooth background leaves all the room to the two figures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eA christening medal struck in the traditional way in 18-karat gold\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike all our gold medals, Le Lien is made by stamping: the 750\/1000 gold blank is struck under an engraved die, for a crisp and lasting relief, then given a satin finish. The gold weight is 2.30 g in 16 mm and 2.90 g in 18 mm.
