Eyes lowered, she holds with both hands, against her breast, a stem of lily whose flower opens at the height of her shoulder. The lily is Mary's flower: the angel of the Annunciation carries it, and it speaks of purity. Here it is not the angel who brings it, it is Mary who keeps it, as one keeps a promise. The gesture of the hands, closed around the stem, is the most finely worked part of the relief. The gold weight is 2.30 g in 16 mm and 2.90 g in 18 mm.
