Guardian Angel Medal
The Guardian Angel is an 18-karat yellow gold christening medal depicting the protective angel watching over a child, in a garden setting.
An angel who watches over the child
The angel is seen full-length, wings spread, one hand raised towards heaven, the other resting on the shoulder of a child beside him. A star-shaped radiance marks the top of the medal, above his head. The background evokes a garden, with foliage sketched on either side. It is the image of the guardian angel as the catechism describes it: an invisible protector entrusted to each person from birth, who guides and keeps watch. A christening medal among the oldest and most universal, which needs no particular first name to be given.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in 18-karat gold
Like all our gold medals, the Guardian Angel is made by stamping: the 750/1000 gold blank is struck under an engraved die, which gives the wings and the folds their relief, then given a satin finish. The gold weight is 2.30 g in 16 mm and 2.90 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
The 16 mm is the christening size; the 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Guardian Angel is available in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
