Divine Dove
Divine Dove is an 18-karat yellow gold christening medal depicting the dove of the Holy Spirit descending in a burst of light, above the clouds.
The dove of the Holy Spirit
The dove, wings spread, descends at the centre of a wide star-shaped radiance filling the whole upper part of the medal; below, stylised clouds in scrolling curves close the composition. It is the image of the Holy Spirit as given by the Gospels at the baptism of Christ, and as found in the iconography of Pentecost: a dove descending from heaven in the light. A christening medal of strong meaning, recalling the gift of the Spirit received that day.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in 18-karat gold
Like all our gold medals, Divine Dove is made by stamping: the 750/1000 gold blank is struck under an engraved die, which gives the rays and the clouds their relief, then given a satin finish. The gold weight is 2.30 g in 16 mm and 2.90 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
The 16 mm is the christening size; the 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Divine Dove is available in gold and mother-of-pearl and in solid silver, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
