The Saint-Denis Cathedral Rose Window is crafted in natural jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl and rimmed in solid 925/1000 silver.

The basilica of Saint-Denis was the first building to be given a rose window above a central portal. This marvellous rose was conceived by Abbot Suger, adviser to kings, between 1135 and 1144.

The basilica and its incredible rose window are essential works of Gothic art. The light, symbol of the Divine, that floods the Cathedral of the Kings through the majestic rose window is striking.

We could not help devoting endless time to making a rose window medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl and solid 925/1000 silver in tribute to this basilica, last resting place of the Kings and Queens of France.

The rose of Saint-Denis, in mother-of-pearl rimmed in silver

Saint-Denis is where Gothic architecture was born, and from this rose descend all those of the cathedrals. On the medal: a heart with twelve spokes, a ring of trefoil lancets, an outer ring of quatrefoils, carved in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl. The silver rim almost melts into the whiteness of the mother-of-pearl: Suger's light, white on white.

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, set in a solid 925/1000 silver rim, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.30 g in 26 mm. Rim in polished finish.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Saint-Denis rose window medal be engraved? Yes: the reverse of the mother-of-pearl is smooth and takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package.

Which diameter to choose? The 20 mm for a christening or a child, the 22 or 24 mm for everyday wear, the 26 mm as a pendant.
