A Virgin and Child in mother-of-pearl

Mary, a veil held on her forehead, tilts her head towards her son, eyes lowered; the Child, nestled in her arms, raises his gaze to her and places his hand on her neck. The two halos ringed with beads, which intersect above the faces, become in mother-of-pearl an ornament of great finesse, like an embroidery of light. The exchange of glances, the mother's downwards, the child's upwards, keeps that tender gravity so characteristic of Botticelli.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, set in 18-karat gold

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl, of jewellery grade: it is the only kind that withstands an engraving as fine as these beads without chipping or clouding. Bezel and bail in 18-karat yellow gold, from 1.30 g of gold in 18 mm to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Bezel in polished finish. Crafted to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.
