Mater Divinae Gratia

Mater Divinae Gratia is a christening medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in solid silver, depicting the Virgin and Child seated on a throne, in a garden, beneath her engraved Latin title.

Mary seated facing forward on her ornate throne, a veil over her hair, the Child nestled on her lap; the leafy branches on either side, MATER DIVINAE GRATIAE engraved across the top, one of the invocations of the Litany of Loreto. It is the richest composition among our christening medals, and the mother-of-pearl renders every plane with finesse; the silver rim almost melts into its whiteness.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated solid 925/1000 silver rim, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.20 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm: the 24 mm lets the decoration read in full. The smooth reverse of the mother-of-pearl takes an engraving. Mater Divinae Gratia is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in gold plate, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
