In solid silver, The Baptism of Christ keeps everything that makes the model: the scene at the Jordan, Jesus in the water, John the Baptist baptising him, the dove above them.

Jesus stands in the water, hands crossed on his chest, haloed; John the Baptist, clothed in his animal skin, holds the reed cross and pours water over his head; the dove of the Spirit descends in a radiance; on the bank, two kneeling angels hold Christ's garments. A complete scene, with its successive planes, that the satin silver renders crisply. For a christening medal, the most direct subject there is.

A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver

Like our gold medals, The Baptism of Christ is made by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, giving exactly the same relief, just as crisp; the silver medal is thicker. Rhodium-plated, the silver does not tarnish and needs no care. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic size for a christening medal. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Baptism of Christ is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in silver and mother-of-pearl, in vermeil and in gold plate, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
