Heart of Mary

The Heart of Mary is an 18-karat yellow gold christening medal depicting the Virgin Mary pointing to her heart, the Immaculate Heart that the Church has honoured for centuries.

Mary is seen in three-quarter view, a veil resting on her hair and falling over her shoulders, a halo drawn in a single line behind her head. Eyes lowered, she brings one hand to her chest, where her heart appears, topped by a flame and surrounded by rays: the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as tradition depicts it, burning with love. The other hand is open, turned towards the viewer, as if to offer. The tunic falls in ample folds to the edge of the medal. It is a devotional Virgin Mary medal, very classic, whose subject speaks first to families attached to this devotion, and which remains, by its composition, a very beautiful Virgin for a christening.

A christening medal struck in the traditional way in 18-karat gold

Like all our gold medals, the Heart of Mary is made by stamping: the 750/1000 gold blank is struck under an engraved die, for a crisp and lasting relief, then given a satin finish. The gold weight is 2.30 g in 16 mm and 2.90 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

The 16 mm is the christening size; the 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Heart of Mary is available in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
