Chi-Rho Medal
The Chrisme medal is a gold-plated christening medal depicting the monogram of Christ entwined with branches, within a wavy rim.
The monogram of Christ, among the branches
The interlaced Chi and Rho, Alpha and Omega, the branches rising like a vine — "I am the vine, you are the branches" (John 15:5) — and the waves of the rim, like the water of baptism. A medal with no figure, where the sign is alive.
Mayaud gold plate
This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a base of solid gilded brass, made in France, coated with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Crafted in our Paris workshop.
Diameter and variations
Offered in 18 mm. The Chrisme medal is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in silver and mother-of-pearl.
