Jesus is my Shepherd is a gold-plated christening medal depicting Christ the Good Shepherd, a lamb in his arms and the crook at his shoulder.
A shepherd Christ, the lamb against him
Jesus is seen from the front, his head slightly inclined, beneath a radiant halo; he holds against him, with both arms, a lamb whose head rests on his forearm, the crook passed behind his shoulder. It is the Good Shepherd of the Gospel, one of the oldest images of Christ, already painted in the catacombs. For a christening, it says simply that the child is this lamb, carried. Our sculptor took care over the fleece, the face and the hands.
Mayaud gold plate
This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a French-made solid gilded brass base, struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, covered with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Made in our Paris workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Jesus is my Shepherd is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver, in silver and mother-of-pearl and in vermeil.
