Dove Medal

The Dove medal is a christening medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in solid silver, depicting a dove in flight with an olive branch in its beak.

The dove, wings spread, holds an olive branch in its beak; the ground is lightly textured and the beaded border recalls ancient coins. Carved in mother-of-pearl, it takes on the softness of a cameo, and the silver rim almost melts into its whiteness. A double image: peace, from the branch brought back to Noah after the flood (Genesis 8:11), and the Holy Spirit, descending "like a dove" at the baptism of Christ (Matthew 3:16).

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated solid 925/1000 silver rim, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.20 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm. The smooth reverse of the mother-of-pearl takes an engraving. The Dove medal is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in gold plate, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
