Dove Medal
The Dove medal is a gold-plated christening medal depicting a dove in flight, an olive branch in its beak, on an antique-coin ground.
A dove and its branch
The dove, wings spread in full flight, holds an olive branch in its beak; the ground is lightly textured and the beaded border recalls ancient coins. A double image: peace, from the branch brought back to Noah after the flood (Genesis 8:11), and the Holy Spirit, descending "like a dove" at the baptism of Christ (Matthew 3:16).
Mayaud gold plate
This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a base of solid gilded brass, made in France, coated with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Crafted in our Paris workshop.
Diameter and variations
Offered in 18 mm. The Dove medal is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in silver and mother-of-pearl.
