The Morning Star

The Morning Star is a medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in solid silver, depicting an eight-pointed star, like a compass rose.

The star that heralds the day

At the centre, an eight-pointed star engraved in relief, four long points and four short, like a compass rose or a stylised starfish; the same lobed, beaded rim as on our other medals in this collection surrounds it. "Morning Star" is one of the images Scripture gives to Christ himself (Revelation 22:16, "I am the bright morning star") and, in Marian tradition, one of the titles attached to the Virgin, she who precedes and announces the break of day. A medal with no figure, to be read as a sign of hope and renewal.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated 925/1000 silver rim, bail included. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm: the 20 mm for discreet wear, the 22 mm for everyday, the 24 mm as a pendant. The Morning Star is also available in mother-of-pearl and 18-karat gold, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
