Ex-Voto Medal

The Ex Voto medal is a medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in 18-karat gold, depicting the Sacred Heart, a radiant flaming heart.

The Sacred Heart, in mother-of-pearl

A heart topped by a flame occupies the centre, surrounded by rays engraved to the edge: the classic image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, symbol of his love for humanity, popularised as an ex-voto since the apparitions to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque at Paray-le-Monial, between 1673 and 1675. Carved in natural mother-of-pearl, the heart takes on the softness of a cameo; the gold rim closes the medal.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in 18-karat gold

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in an 18-karat yellow gold rim, bail included, from 1.30 g of gold in 18 mm to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

From 18 to 24 mm: the 18 mm for a christening, the 20 and 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. The smooth reverse of the mother-of-pearl takes an engraving. The Ex Voto medal is also available in solid yellow gold, in solid silver, in silver and mother-of-pearl and in gold plate, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
