Virgin of the Immaculate Conception Medal

The Immaculate Conception is a gold-plated christening medal depicting the Virgin Mary with her hands joined over a rosary, as she appeared at Lourdes.

A Virgin Mary with a rosary

Mary is seen in three-quarter view, a veil over her hair framing her face, a halo of a fine line behind her head. She joins her hands before her, and between her fingers hangs a rosary whose cross falls onto the tunic. Her eyes, slightly lowered, turn towards the viewer. It is the image of the Virgin of Lourdes, who named herself "the Immaculate Conception" before Bernadette, in 1858, a rosary on her arm. Our sculptor kept its gentleness and youth. Mayaud gold plate

This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a French-made solid gilded brass base, struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, covered with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Made in our Paris workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Immaculate Conception is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in solid silver.
