Young Virgin Medal - Ora Pro Nobis
Ora Pro Nobis is a gold-plated christening medal depicting a very young Virgin Mary, hands joined, between a lily branch and the words of the prayer: pray for us.
A young Virgin Mary in prayer
Mary is seen in three-quarter view, turned to the right, a veil over her hair falling to her shoulders. She has the face of a very young girl, lips parted, eyes raised; her joined hands are lifted to her chin. To her left, a lily branch climbs along the edge; above her, in an arc, the inscription ORA PRO NOBIS, the response given to each invocation of the litanies. One of the richest compositions among our Virgin Mary medals: a portrait, a flower, a prayer, in 18 mm.
Mayaud gold plate
This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a French-made solid gilded brass base, struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, covered with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Made in our Paris workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Ora Pro Nobis is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in silver and mother-of-pearl.
