Saint John the Baptist is a christening medal in 18-karat yellow gold depicting the saint as a child, hands joined in prayer, before a cross and a lamb.

John the Baptist is shown as a child, his face raised, his hair curly, his hands joined before his chest in a gesture of recollected prayer. Before him, a rustic cross made of two gnarled branches; at his feet, a lamb lying down, its head turned towards him. It is the iconography of the young Saint John in the desert, who will later proclaim Christ as the Lamb of God. The subject, all in childlike gentleness, makes it a christening medal natural for anyone who bears the name John.

A christening medal struck in the traditional way in 18-karat gold

Like all our gold medals, Saint John the Baptist is made by stamping: the 750/1000 gold blank is struck under an engraved die, for a crisp and lasting relief, then satin-finished. The gold weight is 2.90 g in 18 mm. Exclusive Manufacture Mayaud model, registered with the INPI, made in France.

Engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic size for a christening medal. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package.
