Notre Dame du Pilier

Notre Dame du Pilier is a christening medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in solid silver, bringing together the Virgin of the Pillar of Notre-Dame de Paris within the tracery of the cathedral's great rose window.

Mary crowned, standing, a veil over her hair, holds the Child nestled on her arm, turning towards her; her tunic falls in long folds. It is the Virgin of the Pillar, a fourteenth-century statue standing at the crossing of the transept of Notre-Dame de Paris, which came through the fire of 2019. Our sculptor surrounded her with the radiating tracery of the cathedral's rose window, whose lancets draw a halo of Gothic light around the statue: the Virgin and her cathedral on a single medal. Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated solid 925/1000 silver rim, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.20 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm: the 24 mm lets the tracery read in full. The smooth reverse of the mother-of-pearl takes an engraving. Notre Dame du Pilier is also available without the rose window, on smooth mother-of-pearl, as well as in mother-of-pearl and 18-karat gold. To be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
