Saint George
Saint George is a gold-plated christening medal depicting the knightly saint slaying the dragon with his lance, on horseback.
A knight who slays the dragon
George, in armour and flowing cape, gallops and drives his lance into the dragon writhing on the ground; the name SAINT GEORGES is engraved in an arc at the top. It is the legend of the knight who freed a princess by killing the dragon, become an image of the victory of good over evil; Saint George is the patron of knights and soldiers. Mayaud gold plate
This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a French-made solid gilded brass base, struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, covered with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Made in our Paris workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Saint George is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver, in silver and mother-of-pearl and in vermeil.
