Saint-Jacques is a medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in 18-karat gold, depicting the scallop shell, emblem of the pilgrim.

At the centre, a scallop shell in relief, its ribs radiating from the hinge; around it, the lobed rim, set with small beaded clusters, itself takes the form of a shell. Our sculptor chose to let the two scales, that of the central motif and that of the rim, speak to one another, for a medal built entirely around this single symbol. The scallop shell has been the emblem of pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela since the Middle Ages: pilgrims wore it as a sign of recognition and protection on the way. Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in an 18-karat yellow gold rim, bail included. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

From 18 to 24 mm: the 18 mm for a christening, the 20 and 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. Saint-Jacques is also available in mother-of-pearl and solid silver, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
