Saint John the Baptist

Saint John the Baptist is a christening medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in solid silver, depicting the saint as a child, hands joined in prayer, before a cross and a lamb.

John the Baptist is shown as a child, his face raised, his hair curly, his hands joined before his chest; before him, a rustic cross made of two gnarled branches; at his feet, a lamb lying down, its head turned towards him. It is the young Saint John in the desert, who will proclaim Christ as the Lamb of God. Carved in mother-of-pearl, the scene takes on the softness of a cameo, and the silver rim almost melts into its whiteness. A subject all in childlike gentleness, natural for anyone who bears the name John. Exclusive Manufacture Mayaud model, registered with the INPI.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated solid 925/1000 silver rim, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.20 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm. The smooth reverse of the mother-of-pearl takes an engraving. Saint John the Baptist is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in gold plate, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
