Saint Joan of Arc

Saint Joan of Arc is a christening medal in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in solid silver, depicting the Maid of Orléans in armour, on horseback, carrying the fleur-de-lys standard.

Joan is seen in bust, in full armour, holding the reins of her horse in one hand and, in the other, the shaft of her standard stamped with fleurs-de-lys; the horse, head turned, fills the whole right side. It is Joan the warrior, who raised the siege of Orléans in 1429 and led Charles VII to be crowned at Reims, before being burned at Rouen in 1431 and canonised in 1920. Carved in mother-of-pearl, the scene takes on the relief of a cameo, and the silver rim almost melts into its whiteness. Secondary patron saint of France, she is a natural choice for anyone who bears the name Joan, and a medal that speaks of courage as much as of faith. Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in solid silver

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in a rhodium-plated solid 925/1000 silver rim, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.20 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm. The smooth reverse of the mother-of-pearl takes an engraving. Saint Joan of Arc is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver and in gold plate, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
