Saint Joan of Arc

Saint Joan of Arc is a gold-plated christening medal depicting the Maid of Orléans in armour, on horseback, carrying the fleur-de-lys standard.

A young woman in armour, standard in the wind

Joan is seen in bust, in full armour, holding the reins of her horse in one hand and, in the other, the shaft of her standard stamped with fleurs-de-lys; the horse, head turned, fills the whole right side. It is Joan the warrior, who raised the siege of Orléans in 1429 and led Charles VII to be crowned at Reims, before being burned at Rouen in 1431 and canonised in 1920. Secondary patron saint of France, she is a natural choice for anyone who bears the name Joan, and a medal that speaks of courage as much as of faith. Mayaud gold plate

This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a French-made solid gilded brass base, struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, covered with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Made in our Paris workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Saint Joan of Arc is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in solid silver, in silver and mother-of-pearl and in vermeil.
