A Virgin and Child, face to face
Mary is seen in profile, a veil resting on her hair, a beaded halo behind her head. She has bent her face until it almost touches the Child's, nestled in her arms, who looks up at her and rests his little hand under her chin. In the satin silver, this gesture of tenderness takes on a gentle relief.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver
Like our gold medals, Maternal Love is made by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, giving exactly the same crisp, lasting relief, then given a satin finish. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size for a christening medal. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Maternal Love is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
