Rope Chain
The rope chain in 18-karat yellow gold is a twisted link with retro charm, back in fashion: a christening chain with character.
The rope link, a twist of gold
Small rings assembled in a spiral give the rope chain the look of a braided cord: it turns on itself, catches the light from every side and has a presence that neither the cable nor the curb chain has. It is an old link, much worn in the 1970s and 1980s, in demand again today for its vintage feel. It accompanies a medal as readily as it is worn alone.
Solid 18-karat yellow gold
This chain is made in solid 18-karat (750/1000) yellow gold. The gold weight of each variant is shown in its name, from 3.30 g for the 40 cm in 1.1 mm to 6.40 g for the 50 cm in 1.6 mm.
Lengths, gauges and advice
Two gauges, 1.1 and 1.6 mm, in 40, 45 and 50 cm. The 1.1 mm is a fine rope, for a 16 or 18 mm medal; the 1.6 mm, bolder, is worn alone or with a pendant. For a more classic christening chain, see the cable chain and the curb chain.
