Saint Michael Medal
In brief: Saint Michael, whose name means "Who is like God?" (Quis ut Deus), is the archangel who slays the dragon; celebrated on 29 September, he is one of the protector saints of France. Read our guide to the Saint Michael medal.
This magnificent Archangel Saint Michael Medal is crafted in solid 925/1000 silver.
The archangel and the Quis ut Deus shield, in silver
Michael, wings spread, the shield engraved with the inscription QUIS UT DEUS, vanquishes the dragon at his feet. Like our gold medals, it is made by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, giving exactly the same relief, then given a satin finish. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. This shield is an emblematic design of Manufacture Mayaud, an exclusive registered design filed with the INPI, made in France.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Saint Michael is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in an Excellence version, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
