Notre Dame de la Tendresse
In solid silver, Notre Dame de la Tendresse is the Virgin and Child christening medal you give without hesitation: the same design as the gold version, the same strike, in a more accessible metal.
A Virgin and Child in silver
Mary, in profile, a veil laid over her hair, inclines her face towards the Child asleep against her cheek, his head tilted back, one hand resting on her. The smooth background leaves all the space to this contact between the two faces. The satin-finished silver, lighter than gold, softens the volumes even further: the Virgin and Child gains an almost pearly tenderness, without losing any of the relief.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver
Like our gold medals, Notre Dame de la Tendresse is produced by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, which gives exactly the same relief, crisp and lasting, then satin-finished to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size of the christening medal, the one that is worn for life. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Notre Dame de la Tendresse is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on a trace or curb chain in solid silver.
