Notre Dame du Pilier

Notre Dame du Pilier is a christening medal in mother-of-pearl and 18-karat gold that takes up the official Virgin and Child of Notre-Dame de Paris, the statue of the pillar, before a rose window engraved in the mother-of-pearl.

The Virgin of the pillar before the rose window

Mary crowned, standing, a veil resting on her hair, holds the Child nestled on her arm, who turns towards her; her tunic falls in long folds. This is the Virgin of the pillar of Notre-Dame de Paris, a fourteenth-century statue standing at the crossing of the transept, before which Parisians have prayed for centuries and which came through the fire of 2019. Behind her, a Gothic rose window, engraved in fine tracery in the jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, as if the statue stood before the stained glass. The gold rim closes the rose.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in 18-karat gold

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in an 18-karat yellow gold rim, bail included, from 1.40 g of gold in 20 mm to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Offered in 20, 22 and 24 mm: the 20 mm for a christening, the 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. Notre Dame du Pilier is also available without the rose window, on a smooth mother-of-pearl background, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
