Virgin Immaculata
In solid silver, Virgo Immaculata keeps her full-length Virgin among the stars and her scrollwork frame.
A Virgin Mary in silver
Mary standing, face on, hands open, within the starry mandorla ringed by S. MARIA IMMAC. ORA PRO NOBIS; the satin silver renders the precision of this strike, stars, letters and scrollwork. The most architectural of our Virgin Mary christening medals.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver
Like our gold medals, Virgo Immaculata is made by stamping: the 925/1000 solid silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, giving exactly the same crisp and lasting relief, then given a satin finish to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size for a christening medal, the one worn for a lifetime. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. Virgo Immaculata is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in gold and mother-of-pearl carved on both sides and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on a solid silver trace or curb chain.
