Notre Dame

Notre Dame is a christening medal in mother-of-pearl and 18-karat gold that sets the Virgin and Child of Notre Dame de la Tendresse before a cathedral rose window, engraved in the mother-of-pearl.

A Virgin and Child before the rose window

Mary in profile, a veil resting on her hair, her face tilted towards the Child asleep against her cheek: this is our Tendresse. Behind her, our sculptor engraved a Gothic rose window, with its stone rays and trefoils, filling the whole background of the medal, its tracery reading through the jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl in the light. The rose window is that of the great cathedrals, and first of all of Notre-Dame de Paris, whose name the medal bears: the Virgin and Child appear as if before a stained-glass window. The gold rim closes the rose.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in 18-karat gold

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, carved in our workshop and set in an 18-karat yellow gold rim, bail included, from 1.40 g of gold in 20 mm to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Offered in 20, 22 and 24 mm, the diameters that leave the rose window all its fineness: the 20 mm for a christening, the 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. The same Virgin and Child is available without the rose window, in solid yellow gold and in gold and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
