The Rosette Cross II
The Rose Window Cross II is an openwork pendant cross in 18-karat yellow gold, a second variation on the tracery of cathedral rose windows, with a radiating design.
A radiating rose window, as a cross
Four lobes in a cross, but this time the tracery springs from a central oculus from which the lancets radiate, as on the roses of the thirteenth century; the lobes end in pierced trefoils. Where the first Rose Window Cross sets four traceries side by side, this one makes them converge on the centre, for a more continuous design, closer to the rose itself. Made in 750/1000 yellow gold in our Paris workshop, each cross is made to order: allow 10 to 15 days before dispatch. Made in France.
Sizes and variations
