Starry Virgin and Child Medal
In mother-of-pearl and 18-karat gold, the Starry Virgin and Child takes on its full meaning: the star of Bethlehem stands out against jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl whose whiteness evokes the clear night.
A Virgin and Child in mother-of-pearl
Mary, in profile, a veil resting on her hair, lifts the Child to the height of her gaze; he is nestled in her arms and holds out his arms to her. Above them, the four-pointed star that guided the Magi. In mother-of-pearl, the halos drawn with a fine line and the star read like point-engraved drawings on a background of light: the christening medal becomes almost a cameo.
Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, set in 18-karat gold
Only jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, natural and extra white, allows an engraving as fine as that of the star and the halos: we choose it for the purity of its grain. Bezel and bail in 18-karat yellow gold, from 1.30 g of gold in 18 mm to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Bezel in polished finish. Crafted to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.
Diameters and variations
From 18 to 24 mm: the 18 mm for a christening, the 20 and 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. The same Starry Virgin and Child is available in solid yellow gold, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
