The swaddled newborn rests against the breast of Mary, who raises her eyes to Heaven to give thanks to the One to whom thanks are due. The radiant haloes, engraved in fine rays in the mother-of-pearl, are highlighted by the cool gleam of the silver. A christening medal that is also given to a young mother.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, set in solid silver

The mother-of-pearl is the same as on our gold and mother-of-pearl medals: natural extra-white, jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, carved in our workshop. It is set in a solid 925/1000 silver bezel, bail included, from 1.00 g of silver in 20 mm to 1.20 g in 24 mm. Bezel in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

Three diameters, 20, 22 and 24 mm: the 20 mm for a christening, the 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. La Maternité is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in solid silver, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain.
