Vierge Divine Medal
The Divine Virgin is a gold-plated christening medal depicting the Virgin Mary from the front, arms crossed on her breast, beneath a halo of long rays.
A Virgin Mary with arms crossed on her heart
Mary looks straight ahead, her face serene, her long loose hair falling on her shoulders, without a veil. She crosses her arms on her breast, hands flat, in the gesture of acceptance: this is how painters have often depicted the Virgin of the Annunciation, at the moment she says yes. Behind her, a halo of long straight rays radiates to the edge, on a lightly hammered ground that catches the light. The most frontal of our Virgin Mary medals, and one of the most expressive.
Mayaud gold plate
This medal is made in Mayaud gold plate: a French-made solid gilded brass base, struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, covered with a 3-micron layer of 18-karat (750/1000) gold. Made in our Paris workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic size. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Divine Virgin is also available in solid yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in solid silver.
