Mary, her hair partly covered by a veil with fine waves, looks at her son; the Child, close against her, one hand clasped to her collar, rests his forehead on hers. In the satin silver, the light glides over the two touching foreheads and brings out this gesture that all parents know.

A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver

Like our gold medals, this Virgin and Child is made by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, giving exactly the same crisp, lasting relief, then given a satin finish to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic size for a christening medal, the one worn for a lifetime. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The same Virgin and Child is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in silver and mother-of-pearl and in gold plate, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
