A Virgin and Child in mother-of-pearl

Mary, a veil with fine waves resting on her hair, looks at her son; the Child, close against her, one hand clasped to her collar, rests his forehead on hers. The smooth background of the medal, in mother-of-pearl, becomes a field of light: it is this that brings out the relief of the faces, in a pearly whiteness that gold cannot offer.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, rimmed in 18-karat gold

The mother-of-pearl we carve is a natural extra-white mother-of-pearl of jewellery grade, selected for the uniformity of its colour and the fineness of its grain. The rim and bail are in 18-karat yellow gold, 1.30 g of gold in 18 mm and up to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Rim in polished finish. Made to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

From 18 to 24 mm: the 18 mm for a christening, the 20 and 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. The same Virgin and Child is available in solid yellow gold, in solid silver and in gold plate, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
