Virgin and Child
In solid silver, this forehead-to-forehead Virgin and Child keeps everything that makes the design: the Child reaching for his mother, and the smooth background that shows only them.
A Virgin and Child in silver
Mary, her hair partly covered by a veil with fine ripples, looks at her son; the Child, pressed close against her, one hand clutching her collar, rests his forehead against hers. In the satin-finished silver, the light glides over the two touching foreheads and brings out this gesture that every parent knows.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver
Like our gold medals, this Virgin and Child is obtained by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, which gives exactly the same relief, crisp and lasting, then satin-finished to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic christening medal size, the one that is worn for a lifetime. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The same Virgin and Child is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
