The flamboyant rose of Bordeaux, pierced in solid gold

The medal takes up a rose of Saint-André cathedral in Bordeaux, Eleanor of Aquitaine's cathedral, a World Heritage site on the Way of Saint James. The rose is pierced in the gold itself: the four-lobed heart, the soufflets and flame-shaped mouchettes branching to the edge are cut open, and light passes through the medal as it passes through the stained glass. The polished gold draws this foliage of stone at the scale of a jewel, with a fineness few workshops can achieve.

18-karat yellow gold, diameters and variations

750/1000 yellow gold, polished finish: 2.70 g of gold in 20 mm, 3.35 g in 22 mm and 4.00 g in 24 mm. Made to order within 10 to 15 days. Being openwork, this medal has no solid reverse and cannot be personalised by engraving. Can this medal be engraved? No: being openwork, it has no solid reverse. For an engravable medal, choose the mother-of-pearl and gold version, whose reverse is smooth.
