Starry Virgin Medal

In solid silver, the Starry Virgin and Child keeps its Star of Bethlehem and its presentation composition: Mary lifting the Child up to the level of her gaze.

A Virgin and Child in silver

Mary, in profile, a veil laid over her hair, holds the Child nestled in her arms, before her; he holds out his arms to her. Above them shines the four-pointed star that guided the Magi. Satin-finished silver suits this design well: the finely drawn haloes and the star read crisply against the pale background, like a drawing in silver on silver.

A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver

Like our gold medals, the Starry Virgin and Child is obtained by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, which gives exactly the same relief, crisp and lasting, then satin-finished to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic christening medal size, the one that is worn for a lifetime. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Starry Virgin and Child is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
