In mother-of-pearl and 18-karat gold, La Caresse plays on whiteness: the child nestled in the arms of his mother, his hand reaching for her loving face, in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl.

A Virgin and Child in mother-of-pearl

Mary wears a soft veil over her hair and tilts her face towards her son; the child, nestled in her arms, looks at her and places his little hand near her gentle face. The drape of the veil and the mantle, so finely worked in the gold version, takes on in mother-of-pearl a softer modelling, almost that of polished marble. The two halos drawn with a fine line can be made out in transparency.

Jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl, set in 18-karat gold

Natural extra-white mother-of-pearl, of jewellery grade, selected for the uniformity of its whiteness and the fineness of its grain. Bezel and bail in 18-karat yellow gold, from 1.30 g of gold in 18 mm to 1.60 g in 24 mm. Bezel in polished finish. Crafted to order in our Paris workshop, within 2 to 3 days.

Diameters and variations

From 18 to 24 mm: the 18 mm for a christening, the 20 and 22 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant. The same Virgin and Child is available in solid yellow gold, to be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain.
