The Pope Leo XIV medal in 18-karat yellow gold takes up the portrait created by our sculptor for the Pope's visit to Paris on 25 and 26 September 2026, struck this time in solid gold.

The portrait of Leo XIV, struck in gold

The Pope is shown in profile, turned to the right, wearing the zucchetto, his face smiling; the inscription "LEO XIV", his name in Latin, reads in raised letters along the right edge. In gold, the strike details the lines around the eyes, the ear, the collar and the buttons of the cassock; the satin finish plays the light across the relief. Design registered with the INPI.

A tribute to the Pope's visit to Paris

Elected on 8 May 2025, Robert Francis Prevost, born in Chicago in 1955, an Augustinian friar and for many years a missionary in Peru, took the name Leo XIV. His visit to France, from 25 to 28 September 2026, takes him to Paris, where he celebrates Vespers at Notre-Dame and Mass on the Place de la Concorde, then to Lourdes and Metz. 18-karat yellow gold, struck in Paris

18-karat yellow gold (750/1000), 2.30 g of gold in 16 mm, 4.80 g in 20 mm, 8.50 g in 24 mm. Struck in our Paris workshop under a die engraved after our sculptor's model, to order: allow 10 to 15 days before dispatch.

Diameters and engraving

Three diameters: the 16 mm for a child or a christening, the 20 mm for everyday wear, the 24 mm as a pendant, where the portrait reads in all its fineness. To be worn on an 18-karat yellow gold trace chain. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, done in Paris. The same medal exists in mother-of-pearl rimmed in gold.

What is the difference between the gold and the mother-of-pearl Leo XIV medal?
The portrait is the same, created by our sculptor. In solid gold it is struck in relief with a satin finish; in mother-of-pearl it is carved in jewellery-grade mother-of-pearl rimmed in gold, with the softness of a cameo.
