Virgin and Child
In solid silver, La Caresse says the same thing as in gold: the child nestled in his mother's arms, his hand reaching towards her loving face.
A Virgin and Child in silver
Mary wears a soft veil over her hair, falling onto her shoulders, and inclines her face towards her son; the child, nestled in her arms, looks at her and places his little hand near her gentle face. The highly worked drapery of the veil and mantle catches the light of the satin-finished silver fold after fold and leads the eye to the two faces.
A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver
Like our gold medals, La Caresse is obtained by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, which gives exactly the same relief, crisp and lasting, then satin-finished to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.
Diameter, engraving and variations
Offered in 18 mm, the classic christening medal size, the one that is worn for a lifetime. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The same Virgin and Child is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl and in silver and mother-of-pearl, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
