Botticelli Madonna Medal

In solid silver, the Botticelli Madonna keeps the embroidered veil and the Child's caress that make this design, in a cooler light that recalls the painting.

A Virgin and Child in silver

Mary's veil, edged with a finely engraved border, falls in soft folds around a face with lowered eyelids; the Child, nestled against her, places his hand on her cheek and looks at her. Botticelli, a painter of fifteenth-century Florence, gave his Madonnas this slightly grave sweetness; satin-finished silver, in its paleness, is perhaps the material closest to it.

A christening medal struck in the traditional way in solid silver

Like our gold medals, the Botticelli Madonna is obtained by stamping: the solid 925/1000 silver blank is struck under the same engraved die as the gold version, which gives exactly the same relief, crisp and lasting, then satin-finished to soften the reflections. The silver weighs 3.60 g in 18 mm. Made in France, in our workshop.

Diameter, engraving and variations

Offered in 18 mm, the classic christening medal size, the one that is worn for a lifetime. The smooth reverse takes an engraving, first name and date, carried out in the workshop with the engraving package. The Botticelli Madonna is also available in 18-karat yellow gold, in gold and mother-of-pearl, in silver and mother-of-pearl, in vermeil and in the Excellence version, to be worn on a solid silver trace chain or curb chain.
